I've never really worked out much or done any cardio. My only excersise is like an hour a week. And it's all Hockey. Ive made a descion to get fit. I'm not fat I'm actually kinda skinny. I have really wide hips and I wanna build my upper body to make it look more even and get a v shape goin on. I'm 17 and I just need to know how to start. I wanna do consistent cardio and build muscle pretty much everywhere I can. I just wanna look healthy not like a ripped hulk. Thanks!

I have been attending gym reguary for around 1.5 years now and would like to really start to develp serious muscle gains aswell as losing my body fat. i have seen forums that state this is impossible but am not sure if it is true or not. i have created a gym plan and diet plan for people to look at and please give me constructuive advice on where to improve! i am unable to upload the diet plan hwever it is very high in protein ( eggs, chicken, steaks, protein bars/shakes) aswel as having low carbs and fruit.

i often to a 20 minute high intense inclined walk at the end of each session, is this to much/little for aided fat loss without losing muscle?

I have type 1 OI. I've done dancing, soccer, gymnastics, and cheerleading. I quit gymnastics after I broke my arm from an accident. I quit soccer because it was just too much for my body. I quit cheer because I couldn't do a lot. My doctor advised me not to do any tumbling or stunts. That's all I used to do at competitions so there was no point anymore.

Now all I do is dancing. I've been dancing since I was 2. I haven't been injured yet. It helps build muscle and cordination.

Is dancing healthy? Is there anything I need to look out for? I'm really tiny. One of my guy friends is almost able to wrap both his hands around my waist. I'm almost 15. I dance almost 4 hours a week back to back practices.

I am trying to slim my calves down to a thinner calf and I don't want to build up muscle in the process, maybe after I slim down, but at the moment I think that speed walking would help the best if the speed was at 4 mph.How long would it take for my calves including thighs to be slimmer?

And I heard that if you run or jog, your calves would be bulkier and bigger, so that's why I am deciding not to run or jog, because I am trying to be slimmer and then tone up my calves.

I have also decided to do Pilate for 30 minutes, so I was wondering if that would help with the process of losing calf fat and how long would it exactly take?

im talking about after working out and your muscles have recived sufficiant stimulation, not sitting on a couch all day and getting ripped.

I am looking to build my CHEST. Large pectorals are the most desirable thing for me, so I want to work hard and get some nice pectoral muscles. I'm not interested in any other part of the body, although (as I understand), the muscles in my arms will inevitably grow too with chest exercises and that is entirely fine by me. I don't have much experience at the gym. I just have a few questions before I get started.

1. How often a week should I work out? 1 day, 2 days, or 3 days?
2. If you could list the most effective work-out regime possible for chest, that would be awesome (basically just include the name of the exercise, how many sets, and how many repitions per set).
3. I understand that I should be taking, based on my body size, 150G of protein per day to build muscle. Is this EVERY day, or only the days that I am working out?
4. WHEN should I be eating my protein shakes? Before a work out? After a work out? After a meal? I'm getting a lot of mixed messages. I intend on having a large amount of protein at every meal, with two 30G protein shakes per day.
5. How long will it take to see results?
6. How do I determine how much weight to do for the reps in the sets?
7. Are there any negatives of working out chest alone? If there are can you suggest a way to combat this? (in other words, what muscle group i should also work to make sure that nothing weird happens).

I know the key to build muscle is to have a variety of exercises and change them up a lot so your muscles get confused and build more muscle. Doing the same workout everyday won't build muscle. And right now bench press,pull ups,lat pull down etc: are all routine for me now. After my workout I don't feel any burn or any soreness the next day. I'm 22 and 5,11, currently i weigh 180 pounds. I just lost 15 pounds i have no problem with weight loss when i was 18 i went from 210 down to 165 pounds. I usually just stick to a 1500 – 2000 calorie a day diet eating small meals often(lots of fruit and vegetables and lean white meats). But summer is coming and i want to get in shape not just lose a few pounds, i still do have extra body fat i think i should probably be 170-175. currently im doing sit ups and pushups 3 sets of 20 each every second day and hiking with a weighted vest on the other for 1-2 hours at a local nature reserve.So im just looking for tips on what i should change or start doing to help me drop 5-10 pounds and add an extra 5 of muscle. thanks icon smile building abs/ losing weight?

(employed as a carpenter so i do get alot of excersize besides what i listed above)

This is categorized as 'acquired brain injury.'It's not a disease or a disorder.I'm asking how to live a happy life with this injury.

So many people on here say my throat irritation is a mental disease, but they're not the ones who live with the results of brain compression.At age 7, my brain fluid built up and compressed my brain and was ignored by others for 2 years as I screamed in pain.When it was finally taken care of, the tumor causing it grew back at age 9 and 11.I have a compressed brain.It would then make sense that I still carry some side=effects of hydrocephalus.

I have difficulty swallowing, which is a side-effect of hydrocephalus.Many times I have trouble eating, so I have to use a lot of brainpower to eat.Because of the choking hazard in my swallowing muscles, it's perfectly normal that I cough constantly when there are large particles in the air, no matter what psychologists try to convince me with.I've been trying to calm my tremors with psychology; it can only do so much.The results of brain compression is really a physiological thing and has no cure.It can't be brushed off as a mentally-generated complaint.There are good psychologists who take the physical into account and there are bad psychologists who disregard the physical altogether.

I keep living in places (23 abodes over 10 years) that have large particles in the air.I can sleep outside alright.Where can I go where there aren't as many large particles in the air?I want to live a happy life.I don't want to be coughing all the time.

Before I get into it I want you to know that I'm not looking for any miracle workouts where you get ripped in 10 days. I'm looking for a good routine to follow that will get me in shape and I'm willing to work hard to do it.
I'm 16 years old (17 in about 3 months), 5'11'', and I weigh 150-155 lbs. I have been weight lifting at my high school for a few solid weeks but I don't really have a good routine down. So that's basically what I'm looking for: a good routine that will get me get me in shape. I run cross country and track so that means I don't want to get huge just built up a little bit and defined. Right now I have a little bit of a belly so I also want to be burning fat and working on my stomach in my workouts. So to sum it up I want to know the best way to burn up my unwanted fat and build muscle through a combination of running, and weight lifting. I would really appreciate any tips or suggestions and especially any workout routine ideas. Thanks a lot.

I'm 15 (16 in May) and I am concerned about a few things today with puberty:
- I barely have any pubes and I always imagined at the age of 14 that I would suddenly get loads but they are only slowly increasing, like you can't see them from a meter away, i have to shine a light on them to see them all (longest one probably about 2-3cm long and all the rest seem to be like half a cm) however is the inability to see them because I am blonde and they do not show up?
- I have been able to experience an orgasm after masturbating for about a year but I can barely produce any semen (sometimes I have an orgasm and none what so ever comes out) and it never "shoots out"
- My right testicle has clearly enlarged a bit and hangs down a lot lower than my left, and my left one still has not enlarged. Whats up with this? Is this linked to my lack of production of semen?
- I am extremely skinny, when do guys fill out because my arms and legs are like twigs, you can clearly see my ribs, collar bones, spine and shoulder blades (which is so embarrassing) and I'm not sure what they're called but their in the centre of my body (to the right of my heart and a bit lower down than the centre of my nipples) anyway I look like one of those really skinny african guys and it gets me really down sometimes. I have ordered a pull up bar to increase the mass of my muscle, any advice on foods or any other body workouts? I am 5 foot 7 and weigh 105 pounds
- I have never had a voice crack and my voice is quite high and it hasn't broke. However I have recently felt a bruise on my adam's apple which only lasted for about 4 days and I just assumed it was my voice box enlarging?
- I have no facial hair what so ever.
* So finally, can someone explain why changes that have happened to everyone else in my year have not happened to me yet? What foods should I eat to help fill out? How long till puberty will show up?

- Please don't refer me to a doctor.
- Don't link me to body building sights.
- I have no acne/spots and have a "baby face"
- PLEASE HELP ME AS I SERIOUSLY HATE MY BODY AND THE FACT THAT I LOOK LIKE A TEN YEAR OLD!!

Would that be to much to ask for? I've been really stressing out over trying to lose weight this summer.
I've been putting a lot of thought into this because I really need to shape up quite a bit. As for my body type I think I am a mesomorph/endomorph. Though I think I favor the endomorph build more. I'm 16 5ft7 1/2? and around 225 pounds. I also have a wide body frame and broad shoulders, if that at all helps. What I'm asking, where I kind've exercises should I do, and what what kind of diet I should go on? I can't really ask my doctor sense he's not a pediatrician, and I don't believe I have one. I mean I wanna make a noticeable difference come next school year. I've been promising myself sense last summer, but I just kind've put if off. But sense things have gone extremely well social life wise, I really wanna put all my effort into losing my weight and gaining it back completelyas muscle.

Okay, so, first of all, let me tell you my workout plan,

Monday:Abbs, Shoulders/Traps

Tuesday:Chest, Bicep

Wednesday: Either rest, or workout my legs

Thursday: Triceps, Forearm, Abbs

Friday:Shoulders, Traps

Saturday: Chest, Bicep

Sunday:Back, Triceps

Yeah i have a lot of free time so i workout 6 days a week,
But my real question is,Lets say im working out on tuesday, which is Bicep, and chest, Should i say do like 4 sets of Bicep curls, with a failure set, and after that exercise should i do another bicep exercise? like lets say incline dumbbell curls, with the 4 sets, and a failure set,

How many exercises should i do each muscle group i workout?

Also, after my number of exercises on the bicep, should i immediately start with my chest exercises (of course with like 2-3 minutes of rest)

Same question for bicep, ill do a like 4 sets of bench press, after should i do another exercise? like dumbbell flys, and after, push ups, and all that?

Key question is how many exercises should i do in each muscle group? like 3 for bicep, and like 3 for chest?
And should i keep it to heavy weights with a good amount of reps, lowering weights each set, until peek of failure

This also applies to each day i workout, i only described to you tuesday
